“Through the Raven’s Eye”
ATC Swap, August 2007
Lori Gloyd
What does a raven see? She sees sunlight fractured into a thousand colors, blades of grass that glitter with fire, she sees YOU with eyes as yellow as citrine.
This is my contribution to the first SFC ATC swap. This is a digital output (a raven mandala I constructed last year), trimmed and glued to a background of orange mulberry and “basketball” textured franchise paper. The feather is of black ecorce paper. The beads are Czech glass, freshwater pearls, and lemon citrine stone. Each is signed and numbered with a description of the materials on the back.

Wow- it’s gorgeous!!Not sure if I am brave enough to show mine now
Heather said I had to! So you gotta too!
Thank you. It was fun to make.
L.
Wow too. It is amazing how differently we have interpreted this task Lori.
I’ll post mine soon! Looking forward to seeing all of them.
That is right girls. Show and tell and all that. This is just sensational Lori. I can see that you got a lot from doing this and I love the representation presented here.
oooo yummy Lori!!! Nice colours. (clapping and cheering with excitement!!)
Wow, you started off with a bang! That’s a beauty!
This is beautiful. I love everything, especially the beaded leaf. And the description is just perfect.
OMG!!! This is GORGEOUS!!!! Well as usual you keep raising the bar….!!!:)
Lori, this is quite beautiful! I especially like the beaded blade of grass, glittering with fire.
Great! I love the textures and the combination of beads and digital art. Lori, this is just a perfect example of the growing world of art!
Brava, Lori!
What a great start, Lori!
wonderful work lori, the colours are so vivid, yet also controlled and elegant, splendid.
Amazing, Lori, to tell a whole story in so small a space. Never got deeply into ATCs myself, but I may revisit the form now.
fabulous first piece Lori. I would never have known.
